You’ve seen the commercials for the movies, you’ve probably also  seen the tv shows and specials, maybe even read up on the 2012 issue online and such.   It’s just gone Hollywood!…again.   NASA has taken a shot at debunking the 2012 endtime theory but the public demands their crisis. The Most Common Denominator for this destruction is the NEOs. Near-Earth Objects (NEOs) are comets and asteroids that have been nudged by the gravitational attraction of nearby planets into orbits that allow them to enter the Earth’s neighborhood…and there are currently 11323 Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs)… that we know of.   They Maya, Hopi Indians, Nostradamus, Egyptians and the Bibles all have “mentioned” a celestial event that will happen .  Some around 2012, others not so specific.  So what if?

How much of the sky is being watched?  What resources are used?
The United States is the only country that currently has an operating survey/detection program for discovering near-Earth objects; Canada and Germany are both building spacecraft that may contribute to the discovery of near-Earth objects. However, neither mission will detect fainter or smaller objects than ground-based telescopes. Congress has mandated the 2005 NASA Authorization Act directing NASA to discover 90 percent of all near-Earth objects 140 meters in diameter or greater by 2020 but this time line is looking less and less likely.

So what if NASA is keeping secrets?
I am a fan of NASA but I don’t like the secrets they have to keep.  How can they know that 405 extra solar planets exist millions of light years away from us and not know that our moon is wet.  Until other space agency’s started their own moon projects NASA lead us to believe it was barren.  More recently India has made some discoveries with their FIRST mission to the moon that NASA should have known.  I’m sure they did know.  So we can expect NASA would not tell us of any impending doom such as asteroids or meteors for “national security” reasons. So in a nutshell, we are all screwed if a 2012 event is some kind of large impact.

What Else is Up There? The Transit of Venus!

Signs in the sky.  Starting on June 5 and continuing till June 6, 2012  the transit of Venus will grace our skies with the completion of  a pentagram pattern.  Signs in the sky are  precursors to change to the prophecy minded.   Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli in Aztec mythology, Freya in the Norse mythos also called the Morning Star, associated with war, battle, death, magic, prophecy, and wealth.  No matter what you call this planet, when Venus makes pentagrams around the sun you can  ignore it or ridicule it, just keep in mind many people plan their lives around what the skies tell then,  world leaders included.  The correlation of celestial events and humanities trials and tribulations are concerning as the events seem to be coming almost on a monthly basis.

I’m taking the same preparations as I did for the Y2k glitch.  Drink, smoke and be happy.  Oh yeah, duct tape don’t forget the duct tape.   If there are any pieces left over I’ll gladly help you pick them up.  Just stay away from my garden!
