SellaBand will not
transfer any money of the Goal to the Artist directly, but will pay via approved invoices in order to complete the
Project. You will have total career freedom and are entitled to enter into agreements with record companies,
managers, agents or publishing companies, in accordance with this Agreement. You will retain 100% of all your
Music Rights. Bands will have the flexibility to determine which incentives they will offer their fans who fund them.
I like it but not for the reasons you might think. I like it because all the friends your band has on myspace can send you money. I hope that it shows some of the weakness “in just having a myspace page” to promote your band. It’s a win/win. If i’m right you’ll move your butt and kick your band into media hound mode. If i’m wrong your myspacers will finance your next demo! So check em out and read the terms and conditions before you make up your mind.
